Eye Defects are becoming very common nowadays every 4 out of 10 have some type of eye defects. Lists of Eye Defects are discussed here in short, you can also find brief about them in our blog.
Myopia is a defect in our eye in which one can only able to see the near objects(i.e objects close to his eyes) clearly that is why myopia is also known as Near-nearsightedness or also as Shortsightedness all are same.
Myopia causes distant objects to be blurry and unclear.
In normal cases light that enters in our eye will form an image on the retina but in the case of the Myopia instead of the retina, light focuses in front of retina causes to see only near objects.
let us understand Myopia with a diagram.

2. Hypermetropia(In detail:- Hypermetropia)
Hypermetropia is an eye disorder in which one can only able to see the far objects(i.e objects far to his eyes) clearly that is why hypermetropia is also known as far-nearsightedness or also as a Hyperopia all are same.
Hypermetropia causes Near objects to be blurry and unclear.
In normal cases light that enters our eye will form an image on the retina that means eye lens focuses the light on the retina but in the case of hypermetropia instead of retina light focuses Behind the retina causes to see only near objects.

4. Keratoconus(In detail:- Keratoconus)
In very simple words Keratoconus is an irregularity(thinner, dome-shaped) in the shape/structure of the cornea(outermost layer of our eye), as we know in Keratoconus cornea is not in its natural shape hence deflect the light that enters through it hence proper image do not form on the retina due to this the person having Keratoconus see blur images which may vary with the age and growth of the eye.
Let's understand Keratoconus with an eye diagram

In the above diagram, one can clearly see the difference in the cornea in the case of Keratoconus and the cornea of the normal person.
What are the Different Stages of Keratoconus?
According to doctors, Keratoconus have different symptoms with age that are:
⟹ First Stage:- Sudden weakening of eyesight is its first sign at this stage you think it is normal and vision is corrected with glass but if at this stage the checkup is not proper then it becomes more and more in the future.
⟹ Second Stage:- Blur in eyesight.
⟹ Third Stage:- After blurring in vision, the stage comes when you not able to get proper vision with glasses from local optical. This is the stage when everybody goes for higher treatment and come to know about their eye problem.
5. Presbyopia(In detail:- Presbyopia)
Presbyopia is a problem in which one loses the ability to see things clearly. This occurs with the aging process at the age of 40-45.
It occurs due to the hardening of the eye lens which prohibits light to focus on the retina, when looking at a near object the light gets focus behind the retina and when looking at a far object the light gets focused beyond the retina thus restrict a person to see things clearly.
With age, there are accommodations progressing decrease that leads to a gradual loss of the ability of an organ of vision to be focused on nearby objects. According to ophthalmology, presbyopia occurs in 25-30% of the population.
